What does the color white symbolize?

Across many cultures, white stands for purity, peace, and new beginnings. It’s the color of fresh snow and blank pages. 📖

But it’s not one-size-fits-all. In parts of East and South Asia, white is linked to mourning and remembrance. In Celtic languages, the word for white (gwyn in Welsh, fionn in Irish) also means “blessed” or “fair.” So a name that means white can carry way more meaning than just a shade on a paint chart.

Fun fact: if you spot -wen or -wyn at the end of a Welsh name, that’s the white part. Traditionally, -wen is feminine and -wyn is masculine.

Now let’s get into it.

Elective C-Section

I know emergency C-sections are quite common, but has anyone here chosen to have an elective, planned C-section? What was your experience? No judgements and rude comments please. This is a sensitive subject. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I’m considering having a planned C-section. Because I’m 41 and suffer from anxiety, I’m worried about the unpredictability of trying to give birth naturally at my age with the possibility of needing an emergency C-section in the end. I know it’s a major surgery that comes with a lot of risks, but it seems so much more controlled when planned in advance, which I find comforting.

Pregnancy after c section

I can’t wait to get pregnant again, but has anyone gotten pregnant shortly after having a c section? The midwife told me to wait 2 years before I get pregnant again, however, that means I’d be 44 and I’m worried it might be a risky pregnancy.

I let my self go 🤦‍♀️🥴

I’ve really let my self go this pregnancy- now to give my self some leeway, this pregnancy has been 10x harder on me than my first (I swear my first pregnancy was so easy, no problems, no cravings other than protein and was able to work out through out it).

This pregnancy food aversion are huge and the only thing I ever want to eat are carbs. I’m so tired all the time like to the point where I have taken naps ( literally my entire life I’ve not been a nap person, only naps I’ve taken as an adult came on cause of medication making me sleepy- this includes my previous pregnancy) I have horrible sciatic pain that comes and goes constantly and it’s sometimes so bad it I can’t walk . I’ve been having false labor since around 34 weeks.

With all of that I don’t have the energy to get ready EVER, I’ve gain about 3lbs over my max I should have gained and I still have 3 weeks until my due date, I stopped stretching and any light work outs. I even stopped hitting my step goal 🤦‍♀️.

It’s a little to late but I’m forcing myself to go on walks every afternoon now, and stretch for atleast 30 minutes a day(given I’m not in immense pain)

I just feel so disappointed in my self, my muscle is basically non existent now and all I want to do is to tell my self to get tf up and work out but I know once I give birth I’m going to have to take at least 6 weeks before I can fully start working out again. I already have my postpartum work outs planned out until January 1, 2028 but I just feel so bad about myself cause I let myself get like this. Any ways just needed to complain thank you for reading my ted talk
